Detailed Product DescriptionThis wide version of the Grand Confort was intended to be a woman's
arm Chair. To our knowLEDge, Le Corbusier was the only designer to
have conceived of separate arm chairs for men and women. This model
was put into production for the first time in 1959 by Mrs. Heidi Weber
of Zurich. The prototypes of 1928-1929 of both models of the Grand
Confort were very informal with painted frames and soft bulging cushions.
The intervention of Mrs. Weber in 1959 conferred upon these models their
present crisp, neat appearance.
